Fund Management
We have one of the UK's most respected teams constantly researching and analysing the smaller companies markets, including the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and offshore opportunities. As a result, we act as investment managers on a range of popular and successful investment products.
Unit Trusts, sometimes known as collective investment schemes, can be an effective way for investors to gain exposure to the rewards offered by stock market investing. Like all investments there are risks. The investment strategy and the underlying investments within the trust this will determine the particular level of risk of that trust. However, generally this type of investment helps to reduce investment risk by offering diversity.
Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) enable investors to invest indirectly in a range of small, higher-risk trading companies whose shares and securities are not listed on a mainstream stock exchange.
The UK Stewardship Code was published in July 2010. It aims to enhance the quality of engagement between institutional investors and companies to help improve long-term returns to shareholders and the efficient exercise of governance responsibilities by setting out good practice on engagement with investee companies to which the Financial Reporting Council believes institutional investors should aspire.
