Crossrail award contracts worth £500m.
Contracts for the biggest tunnel projects in the UK since the building of the Jubilee Line extension in London and the Channel Tunnel rail link were awarded today.
They are both in connection with the Crossrail project in London and together are worth £500m.
A joint venture comprising BAM Nuttall, Ferrovial Agroman and Kier Construction will carry out the work.
It will involve tunnel drives between Royal Oak and Farringdon and work on the tunnels between Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road.
