Glasgow warns of "crucial cuts"

Glasgow City Council has announced that it is being forced to make "crucial funding cuts" following the budget announced by the Scottish Government.

Leaders of Glasgow Council say that they have been allocated £2m. less than expected and that they are now looking for overall savings for the next financial year of £13.5m.

Overall the Scottish Government has reduced its budget for next year by £1bn.
