Travis Perkins reaches agreement with OFT
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has accepted an undertaking from Travis Perkins to settle a competition investigation.
The concerns had arisen following Travis Perkins merger with BSS Group.
The OFT said it could not dismiss competition concerns in 20 local areas as a result of the merger. Travis Perkins has now agreed to sell 20 stores run by either City Plumbing Supplies or Plumbing Trade Supplies.
This will avoid a reference to the Competition Commission.
