African Copper confirms Botswana licence

African Copper plc noted its recent share price movement and confirmed it has received an interim mining licence for the Thakadu deposit in Botswana.

The company said it had already been undertaking trial mining operations at Thakadu under a development permit. Grant of a full mining licence was pending further discussion and agreement with the Botswana government.

The shares were up 0.7p at 6.25p.
