US average hourly earnings for all employees on private non-farm payrolls edged up by 2 cents to $23.41 in May, according to US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Average hourly earnings have increased by 1.7% over the past 12 months.
In May, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and non-supervisory employees edged down by 1 cent to $19.70.
