David Clueit
Compliance Director
Based at the firm's Blackpool office, David is our Compliance Director and Money Laundering Officer. His prime responsibility is advising management of the FSA's regulatory expectations.
David graduated with a BA Honours degree in Accountancy and Finance from Liverpool. He has been a Chartered Accountant since 1992 and is now a Fellow of the ICAEW.
After completing articles he spent three and a half years at Guardian Royal Exchange as a senior internal auditor on the head office audit team. This involved performing audits around the world as well as developing and maintaining the quality of the audit function group wide.
David joined Hargreave Hale & Co in 1999 as Compliance and Finance Manager. He was promoted to Compliance Officer in 2000 and made a main board director of Hargreave Hale Limited in 2002, following the conversion from a partnership to a company and the investment in the business by Investec.
David is also a member of the Securities and Investment Institute and of the Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers.
